'NASTASSJA KINSKI'
Barbican Centre, London, 2010 (with Kazimierz Jankowski)
Part of a series of exhibitions conceived for cinemas. The façade of the Renoir Cinema, the site of an unrealised project, is inscribed over a façade at the Barbican Centre, the site of another proposal. A log provides an awkward, oversized doorstop, propping open the door to the exhibition, forcing a link between the gallery and foyer. At the ticket desk, a stack of fold out plans of the Barbican Centre has a hole cut in the middle, intervening in the building with a gesture that traverses all spaces at once.
Part of Fun House, an evening of performances and events curated by Rosie Cooper to coincide with the exhibition Surreal House.
